From Dream to Reality

Dreams

It’s pretty amazing really, the capacity we have to create our future, to make our dreams reality.  Think about it for a minute. What have you created in your life? Ideas you’ve had that started in your head, and you translated into reality. It could be as simple as thinking, “I’ll bake a cake.” and then presto a cake appeared. In my case, it meant that I went to the store and bought a cake, but the idea is still the same. Think about this with something bigger. You thought about buying a house, and you made that happen, getting a car, a job, or creating some other outcome in your life. It’s amazing really, our capacity to think about things and then act on them and make them real when we choose to. That’s one of the incredible gifts of being alive and being human. We have the power to dream, to think, to plan, to choose, to act and to create. Sometimes we create wondrous things…new opportunities, relationships, businesses, and sometimes terrible things…destruction, pain, suffering. But, we have within us the ability to create, and that’s so important to recognize and to consciously nurture. Like a seed, you can water and grow your ability to create wonderful things, but your mind will play tricks on you telling you,”You’re not good enough. Who do you think you are?” and other nonsense that people have probably said at one point or another. It’s important to recognize that our minds are word machines, endlessly babbling, sometimes it’s good news, and sometimes it’s bad. So, when your word machine tells you a story that interferes with your ability to weave your dreams into reality, gently say to yourself,”Thanks a

It’s important to recognize that our minds are word machines, endlessly babbling, sometimes it’s good news, and sometimes it’s bad. So, when your word machine tells you a story that interferes with your ability to weave your dreams into reality, gently say to yourself,”Thanks a lot mind, for that story of how I can’t do anything, or amount to something.” Then carry on with your goal, bringing your dream into reality, just like you did with so many other things in your life before.
